She had a wonderful experience in medical school at the University of Chicago because of the fantastic people she worked with and is excited to continue in that experience!

Katie Hall

Born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, she attended the University of Maryland for undergraduate where she studied Biology and enjoyed watching her beloved Terrapins on the basketball court! She then moved down to the “Big Easy” New Orleans to attend Tulane for medical school.  The real adventure began as Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans just three weeks after starting her first year.  After spending a year with her class in Houston, she returned to a very diffiernt city than the one she left.  Learning medicine in a recovering New Orleans helped shape her career more than she could imagine. She became very interested in Public Health, health systems and primary care.  In addition to earning her Masters Degree in Public Health she became involved in the creation and management of a student run clinic within a new community health center in downtown New Orleans and worked with other classmates to develop a novel and holistically-aimed community health intervention in a rural Louisiana.
